Imagen bolsters executive team with two senior appointments

Experienced SaaS sales and marketing leaders Nathan Birtle and Helen Aboagye to join senior management

Cambridge, UK – 09 April 2018 – Imagen, the leading video management company has announced two new appointments to expand its executive team and continue its fast paced growth trajectory. With experience leading worldwide teams in sales and marketing, Nathan Birtle (VP Sales) and Helen Aboagye (CMO) will drive expansion into new markets.

Aboagye brings almost two decades of marketing experience to Imagen, most recently serving as VP Marketing of Currencycloud, a high-growth global payment platform. Aboagye is the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer and will take responsibility for developing the brand, corporate communications and demand generation programmes, as well as Imagen’s go-to-market strategy.

Birtle joins with an impressive track record of pioneering growth in SaaS markets, increasing market share and enhancing the performance of sales operations for a range of enterprise technologies, including IBM and Sparta Systems. Birtle previously worked alongside current Imagen CEO Charlie Horrell at board room software company Diligent, to deliver five years of growth leading up to a US$624 million sale.

The appointments follow a successful year which has established Imagen as the leading video management solution used by global sports and media companies including BBC Studios, English Premier League, ATP Media, Endemol, BP, the British Film Institute and IMG to manage, monetise and distribute their content.

Charlie, CEO of Imagen, said, “We are delighted to welcome Helen and Nathan to our executive leadership team. Their expertise working with premium global technology brands will be instrumental in the execution of our strategic plan, particularly as we sharpen our focus on growing revenue in the sports and entertainment sector while capitalising on increased demand for professional video management by businesses.”

Commenting on her appointment, Aboagye said: “Imagen already has a great track record of working with some of the world’s leading media organisations. I’m looking forward to growing our footprint and taking the technology to new territories and markets.”

Birtle said: “This is truly an exciting time to join Imagen; the company has a ground-breaking product and many happy customers. I look forward to working closely with the rest of the senior management team and existing sales staff to accelerate revenue growth in 2018 and beyond.”
